Valery Evlanov is a guitarist and a composer. Member of The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) and the Russian Composers Association. The winner of International Competition "Many Faces of Guitar" in jazz-rock nomination.
Valery was born in Moscow, Russia. At the age of 7, he began to study piano at a music school. After graduating, he became inspired by the Beatles music, and started learning the guitar.
In 2001, he graduated the Moscow College of Pop an Juzz music.
From 2000 till 2004, he was a member of the song and dance group "Sky of Russia" as a guitarist.
2003-2005, he was a guitarist and composer of the popular Russian group "The Fifth Ocean", which was famous wfor their songs "The World", "The Border", "Rota" and etc.
Since 2002, Valery has been performing jazz music. He created jazz quartet "Vintage" with jazz violinist Anton Zholondz.
In 2004, he started to work as a leading guitarist, sound engineer, and composer at "Lucky-double" sound recording studio in Moscow (Russia).
In 2004, he wrote music and lyrics for his first musical "Flowers fairy tale".
In 2005, he began to record that musical with many Russian popular singers.
2008 - 2015, Valery was a jazz guitar teacher at Saulsky Moscow State School of Arts.
Since 2009, he has been collaborating with the Symphony Jazz Orchestra "Globalis". Together they had many different projects and performances with famous pop and jazz singers and musicians.
2016-2019, Valery Evlanov collaborated with Pavel Kogan Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra in a couple concerts.
In 2017, he performed with famous conductor Erik Ochsner (New York, USA) in the project "La La Land in Concert".
Also, in 2018, Valery performed with conductor Shih-Hung Young in "Gladiator in Concert"
From 2015 till 2016, he performed with the Ivan Dyma quintet in his creative program "Vanguard Jazz".
In 2016, he graduated from the Gnesins Russian Academy of Music, one of the most world famous school of music. Valery got a bachelor degree as a guitarist in modern pop and jazz music. And in 2019, he received his masters degree for instrumental jazz music.
In 2018, his first album "On the Other Side" was released.
After that, Valery Evlanov was offered to work with one of the biggest jazz production agencies in Russia "SJ Media".
Musicians Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Gorge Benson, John Scofield, Pet Martino, Lee Ritenour and Chuck Lob always inspired Valery to his own music and style of performing.
Valery Evlanov fully writes his own music; composing, playing, recording, doing sound production, etc.
Valery's main guitar is Roger's Sadowsky - custom-made in New York specially for Valery.
Since 2013, he has been married to jazz singer Nadia Evlanova. They had a daughter, Elizabeth, whom Valery dedicated the song "The Girl from Indiana" from his album "On The Other Side".
